Rachael Courtney

Rachael is a trainee counsellor with a background in social work and a deep commitment to supporting individuals through life’s challenges. She has experience working with children and families for a local authority in the UK, as well as within a youth offending institute.
Originally from the UK, Rachael has lived in Singapore for the past seven years with her family. She currently works as a safeguarding coordinator in an international school, where she supports both children and adults navigating a range of challenges. Her professional journey spans work with children, adolescents, adults, and families in both the UK and Singapore.
Drawing on a person-centred and strengths-based approach, Rachael believes in meeting clients where they are, understanding their unique perspectives, and helping them recognise their own capacity for growth and change. She is passionate about working collaboratively with individuals and families to support lasting, meaningful progress.
Outside of work, Rachael enjoys spending time with her two young children, socialising with friends and family, and staying active through regular exercise. She also loves to travel around the region, soaking in the rich diversity of cultures that Asia has to offer.
