Background
Grace has a deep curiosity for people’s life stories and believes that counselling is a safe space to share and make meaning of these stories. Before training as a counsellor, Grace completed her academic training in architecture and spent several years working in various roles across the built environment industry, including architectural design and engineering consulting in large scale multidisciplinary projects. While technical, these roles also provided the opportunities to collaborate with people of diverse professional and cultural backgrounds—she then realised her passion sat within people-centered work, compelling her to pursue a counselling career. Having moved through a number of career transitions, Grace relates to both the struggles and joys of changing and starting anew. She is interested in working with adults navigating life transitions and seeking clarity in their identities. She hopes to explore these questions about meaning and purpose collaboratively with her clients, supporting them in understanding themselves and making choices that are personally meaningful to them. In her own time, Grace unwinds with pottery and spending time with her family and two cats, Tobi and Meimei, finding that these are what ground her in the present.
